Legal Requirements

Regardless the type of application you would like to apply for, the following conditions must be minimum to be accomplished:

Passport.
Not have entered Spain illegally.
Be over 18 years of age.
Not have a criminal record in Spain or in your country of origin for the last five years.
Not have been rejected from any country with which Spain has an agreement.
Have public or private health insurance with a company authorised to operate in Spain.

This medical insurance must have sufficient coverage to be able to cover any possible accident, hospitalisation or illness and must be valid for the entire period during which the applicant and/or his/her family members remain in Spain.

Travel insurance does not fall into this category.

Complete an official form.
Payment of the processing fee.
Having sufficient economic resources for the investor and, in the event that he/she wishes to bring his/her family with him/her, must accredit further economic means while residing in Spain.
